OUR MISSION

Better sleep, made properly.

RYVENA makes sleep care for people who are tired of things that almost work. Silk that lasts. Breathing support that stays on. No shortcuts you'd notice halfway through the night.

Sleep isn't a luxury you earn. It's the thing everything else runs on.

You already know this. You know how a bad night lands — the short fuse, the flat afternoon, the workout you skip, the conversation you handle badly.

What most people don't realise is how much of it comes down to small, fixable things. A room that isn't quite dark. A nose that isn't quite clear. A mouth that falls open at 2am and dries you out until morning.

None of these are medical problems. They're mechanical ones. And mechanical problems have mechanical solutions.

That's the entire idea behind RYVENA.

OUR STORY

I built this because I needed it first

I worked nights.

Anyone who has will tell you the problem isn't the hours — it's the mornings. You finish, you get home, you lie down, and the sun is already coming up around the edges of the blind. Your body knows it's daytime. It doesn't much care how tired you are.

Then there was the breathing. I'm a mouth breather. I'd wake up with my mouth bone dry and my throat raw, feeling like I hadn't slept — because in the way that counts, I hadn't. Training MMA didn't help. I took a bad knock to the nose, and after that, breathing through it went from difficult to barely worth attempting.

It stopped being a tired-day problem. It got into my work. It got into how I was with the people around me. Run on broken sleep for long enough and you stop being the version of yourself you'd like to be — and everyone else notices before you do.

So I started buying things.

What didn't work

A supermarket sleep mask first. It pressed straight onto my eyes, left a crease across my face by morning, and still let light in around the nose — the one place it actually needed to seal. I'd take it off and not be able to focus properly for the first twenty minutes of the day.

Then nose strips. They'd curl off partway through the night, and while they were on, the difference in airflow was small enough that I genuinely wondered whether they were doing anything at all.

Then mouth tape. Same story. It either lifted overnight, or it sealed me in so completely that I'd pull it off in the middle of the night just to feel like I could breathe.

Every one of them nearly worked. That's the frustrating part. The idea was right every time. The execution was cheap.

What did work

A proper mask — contoured, so nothing touched my eyes, and dark enough that mid-morning looked like midnight.

A strip with a real spring band, wide enough at the ends that it was still on my face when I woke up, and strong enough that I could feel the difference on the first breath.

Tape with a vent in it, so nothing ever felt sealed shut and no pressure built up behind it.

And silk, which I assumed was a gimmick until I stopped waking up with my face marked and my hair wrecked.

Four things. None of them complicated. Together they gave me back the ability to sleep past sunrise, breathe through my nose all night, and wake up like a person.

Why RYVENA exists

Because it shouldn't have taken that long, or that many wasted purchases, to find products that simply do the job.

RYVENA is the version I wish I could have bought at the start. Every specification — 22 momme silk instead of 19, contoured instead of flat, a dogbone strip instead of a plain one, a vent slot instead of a solid patch — is there because the cheap version failed me first, in a specific way, on a specific night.

“The idea was right every time.
The execution was cheap.”

The details we refused to cut

Every product decision here came down to the same question: would we notice this in the middle of the night? If yes, it stayed, whatever it cost.

22 momme silk, not 19.

Momme measures density. Most silk sleep products use 16–19 momme because it's cheaper and it photographs the same. It doesn't wear the same. 22 momme is where silk stops feeling delicate and starts lasting — denser, smoother, stronger, and still frictionless against skin and hair.

Contoured, not flat.

A flat mask presses on your eyes, flattens your lashes and leaves a crease across your face by morning. Ours has shaped interior eye cups that sit away from your face entirely. You can blink underneath it. Nothing touches your lids.

A vent slot in the mouth tape.

Most mouth tape is a solid patch. It works, and it's also the reason most people try it once and give up — you feel sealed in. Ours has a compact slot in the centre, so no pressure builds behind the seal and nothing ever feels closed off. That's the difference between one night and one month.

A dogbone strip, not a rectangle.

Wide flared ends mean more surface area at each anchor point. More grip means the strip is still on your face in the morning, which is the only measure of a nose strip that actually matters.

What we won't do

Most of this category runs on pressure. We've decided not to. Here's what that means in practice — hold us to it.

We won't invent press or awards.

No logo bars for publications that have never mentioned us. No made-up "as seen in". When RYVENA earns a mention, it'll go here, and it'll be real.

We won't run fake countdowns.

No timer telling you a cart is reserved for nine minutes. No "3 people are viewing this". These things are simply untrue, and a brand that lies about small things will lie about big ones.

We won't overstate what a product does.

Our products support better sleep. They are not medical devices and we won't dress them up as such. If you have a diagnosed sleep or breathing condition, we'll tell you to speak to a doctor — you'll find that on the product page, not buried.

We won't sell you something that isn't right for you.

Mouth tape doesn't suit everyone. Neither does mouth taping if you can't breathe freely through your nose. We publish a full Caution Statement and we'd rather lose the sale than have you use something you shouldn't.

30 Nights. Sleep on it.

Sleep products are impossible to judge in a shop. You need weeks, not minutes.

So take any of it for 30 nights — silk, nose strips, mouth tape, all the same window. Sleep in it, wash your hair on it, use it properly. That is the point. If it is not right, contact us within 30 nights of delivery for a full refund.

Silk comes back in good condition with its original packaging. It does not need to be unused. Nose strips and mouth tape are different again: for hygiene reasons, opened packs do not need to come back at all.

Australian owned and operated

RYVENA is a Brisbane business — Australian owned, Australian operated, Australian run. Our products are made to our specification overseas, the same way almost every silk and sleep-care brand you know does it. We're straightforward about that because you'd rather know.

What being local actually means for you: support in Australian hours, prices in Australian dollars wherever you are, GST included in every price on orders delivered within Australia, and consumer rights — under the Australian Consumer Law, or the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act — that we don't try to write our way around.

Start with one night

You don't need to overhaul anything. Pick the one thing that's actually waking you up — the light, the blocked nose, the dry mouth — and fix that first.

The rest tends to follow.
